Our Second Year Forging
Forward
This first year of our lodge has really been exciting
for me.
To see all our brothers and sisters step up, get
involved and take ownership of our lodge.
With your help our lodge has evolved into the
driving force it is today, both in our community and with the Sons of Italy
in America.
Some of us had a vision of brother and sisterhood in
the summer of 2008.
It all began with Rick and Camille Annichiaricio.
The original compatriots banned together and
enjoyed the recruiting of the charter members of our lodge.
The
board rose to all the tasks that were asked of them to form this lodge and
beyond.
I want to thank all of the committees and chairmen whom
have donated their time and efforts all year long.
Our foundation has been laid; everyone is joining in to
be a part of what we are creating.
We now stand at over 165 members and have become
the fastest growing new lodge most of OSIA can remember.
I look forward to our new year and taking our
lodge and community to new
heights.
We will continue to keep our events cost effective for our members
and our slogan for this year will be: Being Italian has its privileges.
We are all facing tough economic times, however to the best of our ability,
the lodge will continue to support our community and
fundraise for organizations in need.
We’ll continue to hold events on an ongoing
basis.
Last year we raised thousands of dollars for our causes
and strengthened our lodge financially.
Now I ask you as your president to bring back our proud
Italian Heritage and promote it amongst our children, our friends and our
neighbors.
Let’s join together again for this year and take our
lodge to even more greatness.
Fraternally,
Gabriel Ciccone
Your President
